As a young man sick, I would have "toughed it out". Forget going to the doctor and be a man....RESULT-for the next two weeks, be half sick and have to scale back training to about 50%

As a old man. Go to dr. early---B12 shot, antibiotic, steroids and this workout

3 rounds Double KB 16kg

Renegade Row 5 each arm
Swing 10
Snatch 5
Clean and press 5
Squat 5

At end of each round pick one
1 min plank
1 min boat
1 min wall sit

RESULT- better than former.....I hope
